Já faz uma geração que você venceu o mal que atacou a Terra de Ehb, e agora… uma nova ameaça despertou. No Dungeon Siege II, a seqüência do mais vendido RPG da Gas Powered Games, você será chamado a manusear a espada novamente e a enfeitiçar para salvar o mundo de uma abominação em crescimento há muitos anos.

Mil anos atrás, os cruzados de Azunai mediram forças contra as legiões de Zaramoth na batalha final de uma rebelião de cem anos. A terra foi sacudida com o golpe final dado pelo deus tirânico Zaramoth que atravessou o escudo fragilizado de Azunai. Naquele momento, as forças da magia foram liberadas, e os dois exércitos foram consumidos em um cataclismo brilhante que se expandiu por léguas na Planície das Lágrimas. Restou apenas a terra devastada como testamento final da Primeira Idade da Humanidade.

E por um milênio, a mágica continuou a se espalhar para os cantos mais remotos do mundo, fluindo livremente para qualquer um que pudesse comandá-la. Mas a maré da mágica começou a diminuir, atendendo ao invés disso ao chamado de um legado antigo. Da Planície das Lágrimas um novo herdeiro acena, e sua força cresce a cada dia – consumindo todos aqueles que se submetem, erradicando aqueles bem tolos que resistem. Com ninguém a se opor à sua ascendência, o círculo ficará completo, e uma idade antiga começará novamente.
